Karrinyup is a suburb of Perth, the state capital of Western Australia, approximately 12 kilometers north of Perth’s downtown. The Karrinyup Shopping Centre also houses a bus stop, a community center, and a library along with two sizable department stores. Originally constructed in 1973, it has since been expanded to provide 54,587 m2 of retail space together with covered and open-air parking. Apartment buildings are slated to be built in the complex’s north-east after a significant restoration that is anticipated to be finished in 2021. There are two golf courses in Karrinyup: Lake Karrinyup and Hamersley, both of which are private.
